Single. Although, I wish it was married!
Title Thoughts: A bit long, but it works. It is perfect for the book.
Cover Thoughts: I love it. It draws me in with the color and lack there of.
Goodreads:
Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.
This is my first read of the year and boy was it a read! I love this book. Why? It was so easy to relate to Hadley and her relationship with her father. It's strained and she has a hard time understanding his reasoning for his actions. Same thing with me and my father. Although, my father is an alcoholic. He didn't leave my mom for another woman. My mom left him because of his drinking. It was refreshing to read about someone who has a hard relationship with their father. This book made me want to have a good relationship with my own father. Whether that's possible, I don't know.
I was so emotional during this book! The littlest things had me tearing up. Hadley and Oliver are great characters that I'm sure everyone will love. Oliver is particularly swoon-worthy to me because he's British! Y'all know how I love their accents and I could just imagine it in my mind.
Addict's Last Words: The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is not a book you want to miss.
To Buy or To Borrow: This is a buy for me. You can purchase a copy at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million, The Book Depository, or IndieBound.
Favorite Quotes: "Love is the strangest, most illogical thing in the world."
“It's not the changes that will break your heart; it's that tug of familiarity.”
